Wedding Day Word Art
We had a wedding! My daughter married her childhood friend (who happens to be an amazing young man that I adore). After months years of planning and preparation, it turned into a beautiful fairytale wedding! I wanted to post pictures, but she asked me to hold off and let her be the first to share. I understand … no problem. BUT, I can tell you about it!
The wedding took place in a historic park downtown with trees, paths, natural stone stairs and a small river backdrop (complete with waterfalls). It was a small intimate wedding – a beautiful sunny warm day – perfect for everyone to enjoy and take in while we waited. Her dad (my dh) walked down the stone stairway with her to give her away, traditional style. She wore a beautiful strapless modern gown with a bustle, short train & elbow length veil. The groom & best man were dressed in black tuxedos with pin tuck shirts, turquoise ties and vests. There were two adorable little girls to serve as ring bearer and flower girl (daughters of the best man & of the matron of honor). The bride and groom wrote their own vows – the groom’s sisters sang and read a meaningful poem. Afterward, photos and a reception at an adjoining hotel. We had a wonderful time in good company … I want to do it again! *hint hint*
